What you get back
# GET https://fourzerotwo.si/v1/imei/decode?imei=356938035643809
{
"imei": "356938035643809",
"tac": "35693803",
"valid": true,
"found": true,
"brand": "…",
"model": "…",
"model_code": "…",
"device_type": "…",
"note": "Identification only: this is not a blacklist, stolen-phone, carrier-lock, warranty or iCloud/activation-lock check."
}
If we don't know a TAC yet you get "found": false, and the TAC is queued to be filled. A decode is charged whether or not the TAC is found.

Use it from an AI agent
Add the server once; the agent finds the decoder with search_apis and runs imei__decode through call_api.

What this is not
An IMEI decode tells you what a device is. It does not tell you whether it is reported lost or stolen, locked to a carrier, under warranty or locked to an Apple or Google account. Those need the network operator's or manufacturer's records, and this API does not query them.
Paying
Three decodes a day are free: over MCP with no key, or over HTTP with a free key. After that, pay per call in USDC over x402, or add card credit to your key; no wallet needed.
