Checks an IMEI's format and Luhn check digit, then decodes its TAC (the first 8 digits) to the device's brand, model and type from the fourzerotwo device database, built from our own device identification work. Unknown TACs return found: false and are queued to be filled. Lookups are charged whether or not the TAC is found. Identification only: not a blacklist, carrier-lock, warranty or iCloud check.
